“Hot Knife” is an encapsulation detergent with exceptional grease cutting power and cleansing action. It penetrates, breaks up and emulsifies the oily film that binds dirt particles to carpet and upholstery fibers. It's grease and oil cutting power is especially important when cleaning “Oil-Loving” fibers such as Olefin and Polyester.
It’s amplified formula attacks and eliminates sticky residue left from soda spills and previously applied cleaning products. As it drys it expands and shatters into tiny crystals containing the encapsulated dirt. These crystals then become the vehicles for soil removal during routine post-vacuuming and will appear in the vacuum bag in a silty/powdery form.
Application
Vacuum carpet thoroughly to remove dry particulate soil. Test all carpeting for color fastness before applying any carpet cleaning product. Mix product according to directions using dilution ratios listed below.
Depending on type of application and soil load, apply at the rate of 20 -50 square metres per 5 litres of RTU solution. Can be applied with a gravity fed system such as a rotary machine with an attached shampoo tank. Can also be applied with pump-up or electric sprayers. Agitate the solution into the carpet pile with a high agitation machine such as a rotary, cimex, or counter rotation brush machine.... The product, along with encapsulated dirt, will be removed with the next routine vacuuming. Although no rinsing or extraction is required when using this product for straight encapsulation, it can also be used as a very effective pad/bonnet cleaner or as a HWE pre-spray.
