Grout Colourant
Easy-to-use waterborne epoxy that recolors seals and rejuvenates existing grout joints.

USES:
• Recommended for use on sanded unsanded and epoxy grout joints
• Equally effective for interior and exterior applications

COVERAGE:
• Approximately 50 to 300 sq. ft. (5 m2 to 28 m2) per 8-oz. (237 ml) bottle depending on width and porosity of grout joint size of tile and method of application.

EXPECTED WEAR:
• Will vary depending on hardness and texture of surface type of area surface wear frequency and type of maintenance products used the expected wear is up to 15 years. Extreme weather conditions harsh cleaning methods and high-alkaline or solvent-based cleaners will affect wear.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
• Read entire label before using
• SHAKE WELL before using
• TEST A SMALL AREA according to application instructions with a minimum 1-hour cure time to determine desired results.
• New grout requires a minimum 48-hour cure time.
• Existing grout joints must be clean dry and free of existing coatings or contaminants that may affect bond.
• Prepare existing grout joints with Aqua Mix Grout Colorant Pre-Treat Cleaner or Aqua Mix Phosphoric Acid Cleaner. Aqua Mix Heavy-Duty Tile and Grout Cleaner is recommended for preparing grout joints around acid-sensitive tile or stone. Aqua Mix Sealer and Adhesive remover is recommended for preparing epoxy grout joints.
• If more than 1 bottle of a single color is to be used mix the material together in a large container to ensure uniformity of color.
• If using Grout Colorant Applicator pour Grout Colorant into bottle and apply a bead onto grout joint.
• If using Grout Colorant Application Kit pour Grout Colorant into a small dish and apply onto grout joint using the applicator brush or toothbrush.
• Spread evenly working Grout Colorant into joint using a back and forth motion. Thin even coats should be applied limiting the amount of Grout Colorant that gets on the tile.
• If going from a dark to light grout color more than 1 application may be necessary.
• After Grout Colorant has dried 1 or more hours (never more than 12 hours) lightly mist surface with water and let stand 5 minutes. Remove excess Grout Colorant from surface of tile using water and a white nylon scrub pad.
• Clean applicator tools with water after each use.

CURE TIME:
• Allow a minimum 2-hour drying time between coats.
• Ready for surface traffic in 2 hours. Keep area dry for at least 24 hours. Avoid direct scrubbing on grout joints for 20 days to allow a full cure.

LIMITATIONS:
• Not recommended for use under water in pools and ponds.
• Do not use solvent-based cleaners on recolored grout joints.
• Previously applied sealers with the exception of Aqua Mix Penetrating Sealer Aqua Mix Grout Sealer Aqua Mix Pro- Solv 10 Aqua Mix Ultra-Solv or Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice 15 Gold must be removed to provide a bondable surface. Aqua Mix Sealer and Adhesive Remover is recommended for this procedure.
• Porous tile may require sealing to ensure colorant is not absorbed into the tile.

HANDLING AND STORAGE:
• Close container after each use
• Store in original container only
• For best results do not store in direct sunlight or in temperatures above 110 deg F (43deg C)
• Use in temperatures between 50 deg F and 80 deg F(10 deg C and 27 deg C)
• Protect unused stored product from freezing

CAUTION:
• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
• Do not take internally
• Avoid contact with eyes
• Gloves and eye protection should be worn during application
• IF INGESTED: Drink 1 to 2 glasses of water. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
• EYE AND SKIN CONTACT: Flush thoroughly with water. If irritation persists seek medical attention.
